World Sport: 2026 World Cup: The Road to North America

An expanded 48-team tournament will see 104 matches held in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June and July of 2026, in what will be the biggest World Cup in history. The recent draw for the upcoming festival of football took place in Washington D.C., where Don Riddell was on hand to see it all unfold. While in the U.S. capital, he caught up with the likes of USMNT Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino and the legendary broadcaster Andrés Cantor. Meanwhile, Coy Wire spoke earlier in the year with the most powerful person in the sport of soccer, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who visited CNN's Techwood Studios.
