Der Rockstar Eric Draven und seine Verlobte wollen heiraten - in der Nacht vor Halloween werden beide brutal ermordet. Drahtzieher ist der Bandenchef Top Dollar, der seine Killer losgeschickt hatte. Genau ein Jahr später kehrt Dravens Seele mit einer mysteriösen Krähe und übermenschlichen Fähigkeiten auf die Erde zurück. Erst wenn der Mord an der Geliebten gesühnt ist, kann die gepeinigte Seele Ruhe finden.
