"Sports, Stars and Stripes" gibt es ab sofort auch im Free-TV zu sehen: Mit "Inside US Sports" nimmt SPORT1 ab Oktober ein wöchentliches US-Sport-Magazin ins Programm. Im Fokus des halbstündigen Formats stehen nicht nur die prominenten "Big Four"-Ligen - die National Basketball Association , die National Football League , die National Hockey League und die Major League Baseball - sondern auch College-Sport und die IndyCar Series.
