Als er zufällig auf die Predigerin Sharon Falconer trifft, beschließt er, mithilfe der Frau willige Kirchgänger auszunehmen. Das geht auch eine Zeit lang gut und die beiden entwickeln sogar Gefühle füreinander - bis Elmer von seiner Vergangenheit eingeholt wird.
