Die Winterfeiertage bescheren dem Personal von Pol Veterinary Services einige Überraschungen. Dr. Pol und sein Team bekommen es mit teils erschreckenden Fällen zu tun. Ein Pferd ist beispielsweise aufgrund einer mysteriösen Gehirnerkrankung zusammengebrochen, während ein Hängebauchschwein ganz offensichtlich seine Grippeimpfung verpasst hat. Unterdessen sind Dr. Emily und Dr. Brenda mit zwei Notfällen beschäftigt: Bei Kuh Lilly setzen die Wehen zu früh ein, während Ziege Cotton eine blockierte Harnröhre Probleme bereitet.
