Wenn ein Tier in Isabella County leidet, eilt Dr. Pol umgehend zur Hilfe. In dieser Episode beschäftigen den Veterinär und sein Team u.a. ein extrem dickes Schwein, ein verletztes Pferd und eine Katze mit Schnittwunde. Parallel zu der Arbeit mit den tierischen Patienten steht ein Geburtstag ins Haus. Während seine Eltern auf einem Spaziergang sind, trifft Dr. Pols Sohn Charles daher entsprechende Vorbereitungen: Klammheimlich schmuggelt er eine Jukebox ins Haus am See. Ob ihm damit die geplante Überraschung gelingt?
