Dr. Pol ist überglücklich, dass er mit Dr. Michele eine erfahrene Fachkraft in seinem Team begrüßen kann. Der Zeitpunkt ihres Einstiegs ist günstig, denn aktuell gibt es jede Menge Arbeit. Unter anderem behandelt Dr. Michele ein paar äußerst angriffslustige Stiere, kümmert sich um das marode Gebiss eines störrischen Pferdes und stattet einer Reihe trächtiger Tiere einen Besuch ab, um Routineuntersuchungen durchzuführen. Schließlich wird die Veterinärin Zeugin einer Ziegengeburt, die nicht ohne Komplikationen über die Bühne geht.
