Es wird Herbst in Michigan und die Blätter an den Bäumen färben sich bunt. Das ändert jedoch nichts an der Arbeitsroutine der Pol Veterinary Services. Für Dr. Pol selbst entwickelt sich die Behandlung eines Rentierkalbs zum dreitägigen Dilemma. Auch Dr. Emily bekommt es mit einem Notfall zu tun: Die Bulldogge Bella leidet an Erstickungsanfällen und braucht dringend Hilfe. Für Dr. Brenda wird es hingegen fast weihnachtlich. Jede Menge Weihnachtsmänner und die dazugehörigen Rentiere nehmen ihre gesamte Aufmerksamkeit in Anspruch.
