The Indian capital Delhi is one of the most polluted cities in the world, but few people there are doing anything about the terrible air quality. They have other, more pressing problems, and it can take decades for bad air to have a major impact on a population. Thirty years ago, the air in German urban centers was as bad as it is in many Indian cities today.
