But countless antibiotics are now proving ineffective against a growing number of multi-resistant germs. The documentary shows, however, that the manufacturers of the most important drugs are themselves contributing to the development of extremely resistant germs and spreading them globally - so that even their own drugs are no longer effective. The filmmakers went to India, a global producer of pharmaceuticals, to explore claims that practices there are at the heart of the problem. The consequences could affect us all.
